Don't forget, I was a "shop/technology teacher" for twenty years, teaching and working with wood, metal, electricity, plastics, spot welding, sheet metal, power tools, hand tools and more. If I taught middle schoolers, I'm sure you can learn too! If there's something you have always wanted to learn and don't see listed, contact me and we'll see if I know enough to show you how, the worst that can happen is I say, "Sorry, don't know a thing about it."

Learn to paint like a professional- Learn the secrets, tips and techniques that make the job fun rather than a chore
Learn to wire- Learn how to wire receptacles, GCFI's, switches, breakers, lights, install ceiling fans following codes and know when it's time to call an electrician rather than do it yourself
Learn to install and/or patch drywall/sheet rock- Taping, mudding, patching, finishing techniques and knowing what type of product to use for which application
Learn simple plumbing- Faucets, drains, shutoffs and when to call the plumber vs. doing it yourself
Learn power & hand tool use- What power & hand tools everyone needs in their homes and how to use them safely
Learn creative repairs that may last a lifetime- Got something broken and needs repair around the house, often one can fix it with creativity so that is better, stronger and safer than it was in its original "factory" condition (contact me and we'll discuss what might be able to be done)
Learn to build and create simple wood projects- Follow plans for something you found or build something you've always wanted to try or need around the house
Learn to repair, refinish and/or install woodwork- Repair, refinish or install new baseboard, door trim, etc.
Learn to patch and repair concrete- Fix missing chunks or cracks and know what product is best for the job
Learn to install shelving, hang blinds, hang pictures, etc.- Hanging things on level with no worry of them falling
